What you will experience

Two buildings that would not burn

Stand on a street that burned to the ground in one night in 1898, and hear what the survivors saw from the two buildings still standing.

Attested hauntings

Footsteps on empty floors, a face at a museum window, a figure seen only in reflections. Every account on this drive was reported by someone who was there.

Documented history

The oldest city in Western Canada kept its record. Some of the heaviest stops on these drives contain no ghost story at all, because none is needed.

The rituals

At certain stops you will be given a small task. Doing it is optional. Skipping it is noted.

The river

The Fraser was here first, and every drive ends up beside it. The last tour ends with your headlights off at the edge of the dark.

Explore safe. Drive sober

Dark Drives points you toward real places, which means the rules matter. Respect private property, posted signs, operating businesses, homes, memorials, and anyone else sharing the road.

The rules

Ages 16+ // Entertainment only // Respect property

Some stops on these drives concern real institutions and real deaths. We tell that history plainly and carefully, and we ask you to visit the same way.

  • The driver does not touch the phone. Hand it to a passenger.
  • The drives are written for night. Posted hours, parking, and any decision to leave your vehicle are yours.
  • Do not trespass, disturb residents, or block traffic. Some stops are near homes, a hospital, and a school, and the narration will tell you how to behave there.
  • Drive sober and obey every sign, closure, and traffic law.

Before you buy

What do I get?

You get all five narrated New Westminster tours plus the full city marathon. Route and audio access instructions are sent by email.

Is this a PDF guide?

No. This is a narrated self-guided audio driving tour, built around the road, the map, and what you hear at each stop.

Do I have to leave the car?

The tours land from lawful public roads and safe stopping areas. If a stop invites you out, use judgment and obey posted hours.

Can I do it at night?

Yes. These drives are built for after dark and assume it. Drive sober, park legally, and let a passenger handle the phone.

Do I need an app?

No separate app-store download is needed. Access instructions arrive by email.

Can I pause and continue later?

Yes. You can stop, restart, or split the tours across nights.

Is it suitable for children?

Built for ages 16 plus. One tour is documentary and concerns real institutions and real deaths; the app tells you which before you start it.

Is it based on real events?

Yes, more than any city we have built. New Westminster's documented record carries much of these drives, and the narration always tells you what is record, what is reported, and what is a story people tell.

Can I share it with friends?

One purchase is for personal use in one vehicle. Load the car, but do not repost, resell, or redistribute the route or audio.

Dark Drives

Are you ready?

Tonight you will drive streets thousands of people pass every day. Most will never know what happened there. You will.
