What waits on the route

The April Ghost

The most reliably sighted ghost in Western Canada has walked the same shoreline for ninety years. She appears most often in spring, and most often to couples.

Attested hauntings

A maid still working a floor of the grandest hotel in the city. A piano behind ropes. A figure in evening dress whose face matches the name on the blueprints.

Documented history

The narration always tells you what is record, what is reported, and what is a story people tell.

The rituals

At certain stops you will be given a small task, performed from inside the car. Doing it is optional. Skipping it is between you and the night.

The Long Night

The flagship. Eighteen stops, six hours, one formally paused pit stop, and an ending at the far edge of the island. Around hour four it stops being an activity and becomes a state.

Before you drive

The car is the safe zone.

Dark Drives points you toward real places, which means the rules matter. Respect private property, posted signs, operating businesses, homes, memorials, and anyone else sharing the road.

The rules

Ages 16+ // Entertainment only
Respect property

A few stops concern documented tragedies. We tell that history plainly and carefully, and the drives ask your quiet at those places.

  • Every stop works from the car.
  • Doors locked, windows up, driver hands-free. A passenger runs the phone.
  • Park only where parking is legal. That judgment is yours.
  • Drive sober and obey every sign, closure, and traffic law.
